Sioux Charley Lake

Hike into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness—through a narrow, steep-walled canyon with a dynamic display of waterfalls, cascades and rapids throughout the trip—to Sioux Charley lake, approximately 6 miles from the traihead. Enjoy a picnic with an exhilerating and stunning view of the lake—a long, wide, slow-moving section of the Stillwater River—before heading back to the cabins. You can even continue on for 30 or so miles and reach Cooke City (bring your packing gear!).
